OKLAHOMA – Black Wall Street Times has partnered with Oklahomans for Criminal Justice Reform, Oklahoma Policy Institute, Still She Rises – Tulsa, Women in Recovery and Terrence Crutcher Foundation to host an informative town hall on State Question 805 this Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. CST. The forum will be streamed on the organizations’ Facebook pages. 

In recent weeks, organizations opposed to the passing of SQ 805 have launched disinformation campaigns designed to scare the public. This townhall will present the facts and give the community an honest understanding of the current state of the criminal legal system and how SQ 805 will help alleviate current injustices within it. 

SQ 805 will help end decades-long prison sentences for nonviolent crimes, saving Oklahoma millions of dollars currently spent on overcrowded prisons and giving people another chance. It is common-sense criminal legal system reform. Join us and help end Oklahoma’s incarceration crisis.
