Black and Latinx parents often are depicted as uneducated and incapable of assisting their children with homework, which may be the reason a black or brown student doesn’t return homework or does poorly in school.
Cloudy skies are now clear for some 15,000 current and former students today. The US Department of Education was defeated in court, canceling $150 million of student loan debt for students who attended shady for-profit colleges.

The one thing that irks me the most is when a person of privilege presumes to know our walk. And by walk, I mean ‘black folks walk’ — people of color, the marginalized.
Parents can do more to help their kids develop critical thinking skills.
