Tasneem Al-Michael is a community builder, educator, and organizer from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and serves at the local, state, and national levels in the issue-based advocacy arena. He currently works as the Manager of Community Engagement for The Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice and as the Leadership and Liberal Arts Coach at Mercy School Institute. Tasneem also serves on the boards of local nonprofits such as the Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma, an advisor for the Arab American Association, and a co-founding board member of the Greater Oklahoma City Asian Chamber of Commerce and Oklahomans Against Occupation, the state’s first organization dedicated to international pro-peace advocacy. He has over a decade of experience working in arts, project management, and organizational leadership.
