    Now is not the time for a statewide shelter in place order in Oklahoma due to the coronavirus, Gov. Kevin Stitt said as the number of people in the state confirmed with the virus now stands at 81.

    Plan halted to house migrant kids at Oklahoma Army base

State and federal officials say there is no longer a need to detain migrant children at Fort Sill and preparations to house them have stopped. Spokeswoman Evelyn Stauffer with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families said in a news release Saturday, July 27, that the decision is because of a decrease in the number of unaccompanied children into the U.S.
