“The new Dollar General on Pine will be opening within the next week or two. I am asking for your support in not shopping there. Continue to use the Dollar General on Peoria or the Family Dollar on Pine. Let’s shut them down! Withholding your dollars is better than any protest we could ever do. Make them hear you District 1! “New Kipp High School is proposed”, we were told the location is unknown, issue to be discussed Mon. Feb. 5, get there 6pm for 6:30 mtg at the Education Service Center. Great turnout at McLain High Feb.1 mtg.Many public voices oppose 7th Grade being housed under the McLain High school roof. Supt. Gist stated plans are postponed.Among public feedback, suggestions are for a 7th and 8th Grade center in an existing bldg.” – Rep. Regina Goodwin
