In a belly-baring outfit, Rihanna showed the world she is pregnant. The multi-hyphenate superstar and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, are expecting a baby, according to People magazine and E online.
While hiding her emerging bump for months, Rihanna is now ready to shine a spotlight on her pregnancy. In fact, photographer Miles Diggs, who caught Rihanna and A$AP Rocky on a walk, announced on Instagram, “SHE IS!!!!”
Mr. Diggs photographed the power couple while on a walk in freezing temperatures in New York City over the weekend. Rihanna was wearing a belly-baring shirt, along with long gold chains to accentuate her growing belly.
Excited for parenthood
While this is the first child for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, the singer has long expressed a desire to have a family – either with or without a partner. In 2020, she told Vogue, “I’ll have kids, three or four of ‘em.”
For his part, A$AP Rocky is also thrilled at the prospect of fatherhood. In an interview with GQ, he stated, “I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.”
The two only recently confirmed their relationship, although rumors have been swirling about the couple since 2013, when A$AP Rocky was the opening act for Rihanna’s world tour. In the same interview, he referred to Rihanna as “The One.”
A power couple
“So much better when you got the One,” he stated. “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
While the two have been quiet about their relationship, they were photographed together beginning in 2021 at the Met Gala. Prior to that, Rihanna confirmed a breakup with boyfriend Hassan Jameel.
The news of a baby isn’t the only reason for Rihanna to celebrate. She was recently named one of the richest female entertainers in the world, and was honored by her home country of Barbados as a national hero.
