It’s a tale as old as time. A White lady gets into an interaction with a Black guy. Sheds a few crocodile tears, usually before but sometimes after police show up, and now the Black man’s life is in danger with police present.
Such was the attempt of a Broward County Karen Wednesday night with former NFL star Terrell Owens.
Owens was apparently driving his vehicle when a White lady on a bike felt like he came too close and almost hit her. He then got out of his vehicle and that’s when all hell broke loose.
Owens went live on social media (which honestly is one of the best tools against racism, a camera), and began recording the incident once a Broward County Sheriff’s officer showed up.
The video cuts on and the first thing we hear from Karen is a lie.
“He ran the stop sign,” she said.
“There is no stop sign, what’re you talking about,” Owens replied.
Then she claims Owens “got out of his car and started harassing me.”
Then the theatrics and tears followed in a indie-film-movie-level performance that would be laughable if we, as Black people, haven’t seen the severity of what those white tears could bring.
A short history of Karens
It reminds me of that Central Park Karen who got checked for breaking the rules and having her dog off a leash by a Black man.
She worked herself up into hysterics instead of putting her damn dog on a leash as she’s on the phone with police telling them “I’m being threatened by a Black man.”
Or “BBQ Becky” who felt it her duty to call the police on two Black men who had set up a charcoal grill in a park, and ended with her sobbing uncontrollably next to police.
These instances may seem harmless, but for Black people, any interaction with police becomes a life or death situation regardless of if you have broken a law or are armed, and especially when White tears are involved.
White women know what they are doing when they call the police on Black men for trivial nonsense!!!
Terrell Owens responds to racist Karen
And Terrell Owens’ Karen knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she began sobbing in front of police, because the words came right out her mouth.
“You’re a Black man approaching a White woman,” she said.
Standing next to her husband the entire time, who was probably embarrassed AF because his wife is out here making a scene with an NFL player he probably rooted for, who didn’t say a word.
“And now he’s online,” she manages to get out through the tears.
Yes Karen, if you lie and try to make a scene against Black men and get the police involved you are gonna be put online for the world to know.
“You’re a black man approaching a white woman!” Like this should explain the whole reason she’s upset. And it does. Because she’s a racist.
Every time I watch this, it just makes me more angry. Thank God for him maintaining his cool and being composed.
Live by the white woman, die by the white woman. Not my problem. Let his Beckies stand up for him since he has openly stated they are better than his own Black women.
