On August 10th, in Kantar, Turkey, a two-year-old girl was attacked by a 20-inch snake. The reptile bit the toddler’s lip, however, the brave young girl decided the snake would get a taste of its own medicine.
The incident occurred in the child’s backyard. She was playing with the snake when it attacked her and bit her lip. After the snake bit her, the young girl started screaming in distress, then decided to bite back.
Mehmet Ercan, the toddler’s father, was at work when the snake attacked his daughter; however, he was informed by his neighbors about what occurred.
“Allah has protected her really, our neighbors have told me that the snake was in the hand of my child, she was playing with it, and then it bit her. Then she had bitten the snake back as a reaction.”
After hearing the young girl’s cries for help, the family rushed to the scene only to witness the girl with snake bite wounds and a 20-inch snake swinging from her mouth.
According to news reports, the snake died later that day, indicating it was still alive inside the young girl’s mouth.
Following the sequence of events, her neighbors performed first aid on the little girl. She was taken to Bingol Maternity and Children’s hospital for possible treatment and medication, but she suffered minor injuries from the bite. Nevertheless, she was placed under observation for 24 hours.
It has not been revealed what type of snake but the toddler; however, it is safe to say that the snake picked the wrong toddler to mess with.
