TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police have arrested 19-year-old Timetrious Moore (pronounced Ti-me-tri-ous) in connection with a mass shooting during the city’s Juneteenth celebration in the historic Greenwood District.
Gunfire erupted Saturday night, June 21, just before 11 p.m., killing 22-year-old Isaiah Knight, a young father. The shooting ended his life during a weekend meant to honor Black freedom and resilience. The shooting injured several others, including an 80-year-old woman who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized.
Surveillance Footage Leads to Moore’s Arrest in Deadly Juneteenth Shooting
Surveillance footage captured Moore firing into a crowded intersection near the Greenwood Avenue underpass beneath Interstate 244. After identifying him through video and corroborating his identity with an associate on June 24, police arrested Moore at his residence.
During questioning, Moore admitted to discharging his firearm “one or two times” into the crowd, as seen in the footage. Police booked him on a second-degree murder complaint and set his bond at $500,000.
Although Moore’s arrest is a critical development in the investigation, police are still searching for a second shooter believed to have injured several others during the same incident. Authorities urge anyone with information to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Tipsters may remain anonymous.

City Curfew Plan Faces Scrutiny After Shooting by Legal Adults
In response to public concern following the shooting, Tulsa city officials are proposing a new Downtown Curfew that would bar anyone under 18 from being in the area after 9 p.m., seven days a week.
City leaders argue the curfew aligns with business support and national best practices aimed at reducing underage gatherings near bars and late-night venues. However, both Moore and the second suspect are legal adults—older than 18—making it clear that such a policy would not have prevented this tragedy.
As the community continues to grieve the loss of Isaiah Knight, questions remain about how to meaningfully address gun violence without defaulting to measures that disproportionately target Black youth and do little to address the root causes of these crimes.
