President Donald J. Trump is intentional when it comes to masking his racism. He creates the illusion that he’s for racial unity by using American symbols of liberty without delivering the whole history.
On two occasions this week, while listening to PBS News, reporters used the plural possessive pronoun “our” when referring to Black people and another marginalized group.
It saddens me to know that school district administrators dropped the ball in handling teacher, Mary Foote, and her use of the N-word in her 8th grade Social Studies class at Kerr Middle School — a feeder school for Del City.
Here’s the truth: White people will always be oppressors until we consciously take action towards equity and justice. This is painful to hear and challenging to fully understand when you have the privilege of being white, yet its truth is undeniable.
