WASHINGTON, D.C. — Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney for over a decade, testified before Congress Wednesday morning and delivered a scathing account of the president’s bigotry and criminal behavior.

Cohen, a father of two teenagers and the son of a Holocaust survivor, apologized to the American public for his role in helping to elect Trump President of the United States.

“I am ashamed,” Cohen said, “because I know what Mr. Trump is: he is a racist, he is a con-man and he is a cheat.

“To our nation,” he continued, “I am sorry for actively working to hide from you the truth about Mr. Trump when you needed it most.”

Cohen testified to Trump’s racism behind closed doors.

“The country has seen Mr. Trump court white supremacists and bigots.  You have heard him call poorer countries ‘shitholes’,” Cohen stated before Congress.

“In private,” Cohen added,” he is even worse.  He once asked me if I could name a country run by a Black person that wasn’t a ‘shithole’… While we were driving through a struggling neighborhood in Chicago, he commented that only Black people could live that way.  And, he told me that Black people would never vote for him because they were too stupid.”

In addition, Cohen recalled covering up Trump’s affairs by paying hush money to porn stars and hiding the fact that his boss was cheating from Melania.

Cohen also testified to Trump’s collusion with Wikileaks to release damaging information about Hillary Clinton in 2016 along with nefarious and illegal business dealings with Moscow during his presidential campaign.

Cohen said that the president directed him to use his own “personal funds from a Home Equity Line of Credit to avoid any money being traced back to [the President] that could negatively impact his campaign.”

The testimony went on to state that President Trump charged Cohen to hide the president’s SAT scores and high school and college grades by “threatening” school officials with legal action if they were leaked.  Cohen also indicated that Trump lied about having “bone spur surgery” in order to avoid the Vietnam draft.

While GOP members of the House Oversight Committee (now in Democrat control) sought to stop the hearing from happening, Elijah Cummings (D-MD) opened the meeting by stating “The days of this committee protecting the president at all costs are over. They’re over.”
