TULSA, Okla. – Facing a continued shortage of substitute teachers, Tulsa Public Schools is inviting community members to attend a Substitute Teacher Hiring Fair on Monday, March 25 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Wilson Teaching and Learning (2710 E. 11th St).
Interested applicants should bring valid photo identification and a copy of their high school diploma, GED, or college transcripts. Attendees who wish to complete the application and two-hour training process should plan to be at the hiring fair for approximately three hours and must pass the required background checks before they begin substitute teaching.
Substitute teachers are able to work flexible hours at school locations throughout the district and can earn between $60 and $90 per day depending on educational background and length of assignment.
