OKLAHOMA — Today, Mike Bloomberg 2020 announced the endorsement of three Oklahoma state legislators. The endorsements come on the heels of the recent Sooner Survey poll, which reflects the groundswell of support for Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg across Oklahoma. The latest endorsements:
- Senator Kevin Matthews – Oklahoma Senate District 11
- Senator Kenneth Corn – Oklahoma Senate District 4 (former)
- Representative Donnie Condit – Oklahoma House District 18 (former)
“We are excited to have the support of such a respected group of leaders who share Mike’s belief in opportunity for all. These legislators work tirelessly in Oklahoma City to create good-paying jobs, and they know they Mike will work just as hard in Washington, D.C.,” said Mike Bloomberg 2020 Oklahoma State Director Sarah Baker. “These latest endorsements reflect the energy and growing momentum for Mike’s candidacy in Oklahoma.”
Mike has campaigned in Oklahoma twice since announcing his candidacy, using the state’s platform to launch the Greenwood Initiative in Tulsa.
Mike’s Greenwood Initiative plan lays out a path for the creation of 1 million new Black homeowners by providing down-payment assistance, getting millions banked and recognized by credit scoring companies, enforcing fair lending laws, reducing foreclosures and evictions and increasing the supply of affordable housing.
He recently traveled to Oklahoma City to discuss issues facing Indian Country with tribal leaders from around the state and paid his respects at the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
Oklahoma is a key Super Tuesday state for Mike Bloomberg 2020. In an effort to engage voters, the campaign opened offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Lawton, and hired 23 staff members across the state.
