Model-host Chrissy Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, are expecting another child. The multi-hyphen personality announced her pregnancy on Wednesday.

Taking to her social media, Teigen wrote, “We have another one on the way.” She followed up with, “so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.”

Chrissy Teigen posted a picture of her bump along with the announcement. She has over 38 million followers on Instagram.

The announcement comes after a difficult time for Teigen, who had a stillbirth two years ago. “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she wrote.

Legend, for his part, told The Guardian that the stillbirth “was a tragedy.” He continued, “But I think it strengthened our resolve and our resilience because we were there for each other. We came out even more sure of who we were as a couple and as a family.”

Teigen and Legend have been married for nine years. The pair have two children, Luna and Miles.

The couple’s older children were conceived through reproductive technology known as in-vitro fertilization. This pregnancy, Teigen noted, was the result of “one billion shots.”

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s family is about to get bigger

Teigen is known for being a prolific television host, who has worked on shows for Tyra Banks. She also promotes her own food and cooking through books on family meals.

In 2019, Teigen was named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the World.  That same year, she started a YouTube channel featuring her family and her mother.

Teigen and Legend are also politically active, and have donated to several progressive causes, including Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union. Following the nationwide protests after George Floyd’s murder in 2020, the pair donated $200,000 for bail and legal defenses for activists who were arrested.

Chrissy Teigen did not announce a due date for her baby, however in May 2022 she announced that she was engaging in fertility treatments in the hopes of having another child.
