TULSA, Okla. – Arvest Bank and Greenwood Rising officially launched the Greenwood Rising debit card today at a special event at the Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center. The celebration included remarks from both organizations and a $30,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation to support Greenwood Rising’s operations and educational programming.
The Greenwood Rising museum, which opened in 2021, helps educate visitors about Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District, the Black Wall Street mindset and America’s ongoing racial challenges. The museum offers both self-guided and docent-led tours of its four galleries.

Custom Debit Cards Honor Black Wall Street and Community Legacy
Arvest unveiled two Greenwood Rising debit card designs, one which features an image from the museum’s “Visiting the Barbershop” holographic exhibit. Notably, the cards are one of many options offered by Arvest that allow customers to show support of various organizations, schools and activities in the bank’s four-state footprint.
“Cards like these allow us to connect our banking services with causes that matter deeply to our communities,” said Tony Porter, Treasury Management Senior Commercial Sales Advisor for Arvest Bank in Tulsa.
“We’re proud to support Greenwood Rising’s powerful mission of education and remembrance. This partnership, alongside the Arvest Foundation’s support, reflects our deep commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities across Oklahoma,” Porter adds.

Grant Supports Education and Expands Greenwood Rising’s Community Reach
The Arvest Foundation’s $30,000 grant will support Greenwood Rising initiatives, including the “Road to Remembrance,” a unique educational program that connects students with two of Oklahoma’s most historic sites—the Greenwood District and the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
“We are so grateful to the Arvest Foundation for their generous support and to Arvest Bank for their partnership on this unique debit card,” said Dr. Raymond Doswell, Executive Director of Greenwood Rising.
“Arvest has such an important presence in the Tulsa region and is a great partner to many institutions here. While the grant will help us with programming, we believe the debit card can help us grow our reach and expand our brand presence in the community,” Dr. Doswell adds.
