ATLANTA, Ga. – Jeniffer R. Farmer, a social justice public relations guru and PR coach to Grammy Award-winning rapper, activist and businessman Michael Render, aka Killer Mike, announced the release of her sophomore book, “First and Only: A Black Woman’s Guide to Thriving at Work and in Life.”
Published by Broadleaf Books,“I wrote ‘First and Only’ after closing the pages of other leadership books and realizing many did not speak to what I would experience as the first and only in professional spaces,” Farmer said. “I wrote it with the intention of affirming Black women and centering our experience. This is an insider’s perspective that will not only support Black women as we navigate different spaces but give insight to those wishing to be better allies to Black women.”
Farmer is a writer, trainer and activist communicator. She is the founder of the social justice PR firm Spotlight PR LLC and the Center for Social Justice Leadership, a social justice training organization that supports leaders and organizations committed to racial and social justice.
In addition to Killer Mike, she has worked with Bishop William J. Barber, Pastor Michael McBride and the Black Church PAC, Author Edgar Villanueva, progressive champion and current Ohio 11th Congressional District candidate Nina Turner, inventor Freddie Figgers and more.
