TULSA, Okla. โ Successment, a global revenue operations firm led by Jonathan J. Mentor, is returning to Tulsa in 2025 with a bold mission: help Tulsa startups and founders reach $1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), using a scientific approach to revenue growth.
The six-month RevOps Scienceยฎ Training Pilot, developed by Successment and powered by its Spark Studio Program, marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between Successment and Build in Tulsa.
Previous partnerships include the Build in Tulsa Techstars Accelerator in 2023 and the We Build Accelerator in 2024.
For 2025, the company says it will continue to un-complicate revenue operations under the RevOps Scienceยฎ framework for Build in Tulsa startup alums.
Scaling Tulsa startups
The RevOps Scienceยฎ framework delivers recurring revenue growth by refining strategy, marketing, sales enablement, and client retention into an agile operation. The pilot will combine in-person training, virtual workshops, and online resources designed specifically for Black and underrepresented startup founders.
โIโm here to ignite the first $1M of annual recurring revenue for underrepresented startups, one startup at a time, alongside our global partners,โ said founder and CEO Jonathan Mentor.
The three objectives of the B2B Growth Lab are:
- Center Tulsa startups on their first $1M ARR by taking a scientific approach to revenue operations (RevOps) under the RevOps Scienceยฎ framework.
- Set the Gold Standard of accelerator programming focusing on revenue outcomes and a hyper-focus on executing strategy, marketing, sales enablement, and client retention.
- Incentivize startups to build the local startup economy, which will contribute to global growth and visibility for underrepresented tech startups originating in Tulsa, OK.
RevOps Scienceยฎ and the 3 Pโs of Profit
The framework emphasizes what Mentor calls the 3 Pโs of Profit: Process, Performance, and Progress. This structure ignites recurring revenue by focusing on data, strategic alignment, asset development, and streamlined deployment.
As part of Successmentโs Spark Studio Program, the pilot supports ecosystem buildersโlike VCs, PE firms, universities, and acceleratorsโseeking scalable solutions for founder growth.
โInnovative startups create an economic impact that deserves the collective investment of not just capital but also modern and effective resources,โ said Mentor.
From the Studio to the Screen: The Blox
In 2024, Mentor brought his revenue coaching philosophy to a wider audience as a judge and startup mentor on Season 16 of The Blox, a reality TV series created by Wes Bergmann. The show was filmed at the Osage Resort in Tulsa, where Mentor joined a panel of entrepreneurs to evaluate over 500 startups.
โI agreed to support Wesโs project because it aligns with Successmentโs #ProvokeVisibility Campaign and its mission to ignite $100M in annual revenue generation for the underrepresented startup ecosystem,โ said Mentor.
During production, Mentor guided several startups using the RevOps Scienceยฎ framework. One of those, Grand Ri5ing, went on to win the โHow to Automate Your Lead Nurturing Campaignsโ category in episode 16. The emotional reaction from cofounder Malica made a lasting impression.
โThe information has never been delivered to me this way before. I just see so much success for us in the future after this experience of today in that room with Jonathan, and I give so much gratitude. Iโm glad I could make everyone proud,โ she said between tears.
Following the show, Grand Ri5ing officially became a client of Successment.
