Following the triumph of the South Carolina women’s basketball national championship, Coach Dawn Staley wasted no time fulfilling her promise. She headed to Disney World. This Saturday, she stepped into The Most Magical Place on Earth. Immersing herself in the enchantment of Disney’s iconic attractions, she joined a joyous parade at Magic Kingdom.

Her Disney adventure kicked off with a thrilling ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. By midday, she graced Magic Kingdom, riding high on a parade float alongside her fellow South Carolina basketball assistant coaches. As they glided down Main Street, U.S.A., amidst a cascade of streamers and fireworks, the crowd erupted in cheers. They embraced Dawn Staley as the star of the celebratory afternoon.

Minnie Mouse herself, decked out in basketball gear, joined in the festivities, adding to the magic of the moment. For Dawn Staley, a six-time WNBA All-Star turned championship-winning coach, this was the perfect conclusion to an undefeated season, securing South Carolina’s third women’s basketball national title and extending her remarkable coaching record to 109-3 over the last three years.

Additionally, she added, “I got to say it in front of 18 million people where I was going. I’m going to Walt Disney World, and now that I’m here, I’m enjoying it.”
